Let me tell you why I started this little corner of the internet.
As a Black woman who's spent years working to get my own businesses off the ground, I know firsthand how hard it can be to get noticed. You can have an incredible product, pour your heart and soul into building something, and still struggle to get the customers and attention you deserve.
I wanted to help shine a light on the incredible women out here creating, building, and doing their thing. That's how Black Betty was born.

From handmade soaps and beautiful perfumes to seasonings, skincare, food, fashion, and home goods, I'm on a mission to discover amazing Black women-owned businesses and share them with you.
I'll be trying products myself, sharing the ones I love, introducing you to the women behind the brands, and occasionally posting something I haven't tried yet but think deserves a look. When a feature arrives, we'll make that distinction clear.
Some of these women are mothers, wives, and business owners juggling a hundred things at once. They don't always have time to post on social media ten times a day or spend thousands on advertising. But we can spread the word.
This is about celebrating excellence, discovering great products, and giving these women the spotlight they've earned. So come on in, discover something new, and don't keep the good stuff to yourself.
